In memory of the late Elizabeth M. "Lilly" Walsh her family has requested that donations be made to our Scholarship Fund. In continuing her family's generous legacy of support to the Emerald Society, the Walsh Clan once again has shown their tremendous benevolence to our members. In 2011 when Lilly's husband an NYPD legend, retired Inspector Edward Walsh passed away a similar fund was first set up. Much thanks and gratitude must be extended to this distinguished Emerald Society family. Big Ed Walsh was one of our Charter Members, dating back to our formation in 1953. Two sons later proudly served the NYPD with honorable careers, Lieutenant James Walsh and Detective Kenneth Walsh. Both remain loyal members of the Emeralds today.
