PASSING OF PATRICK LENNON The NYPD Emerald Society mourns the passing of our long time Retired Member Patrick Lennon on November 23, 2016. Pat's last command was in the Intelligence Unit before his retirement. He was a regular attendee for many years at our Emerald Society functions. He especially enjoyed coming to our general meetings where he would meet up with old friends. At most of these events he would be accompanied by his son Michael (MTN Pct.) who proudly followed his Dad into the NYPD. Pat hailed from Athlone, County Roscommon in his beloved native Ireland. He was honored to serve in the United States Army before joining New York's Finest. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Josie (nee Gordon), loving father of Michael (Marie), Maureen Gavigan (Sean), JoAnne, and Jacinta. Dear brother of Nancy McLean, Loretta Sweeney, and the late Michael, and Tommy. Proud grandfather of Patrick, Lindsey, Elisa, Aidan, Brendan, Michael, and Regan.
