10-13 Benefit for Det. Peter McGovern

The members of the JTTF and our ESU family are having a 10-13 Fundraiser for Det. Peter McGovern formerly of ESS 8 and ESS 3. He is presently assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Pete is very sick from an unknown disease from his endless hours at Ground Zero. According to all of Peters doctors he has an UNKNOWN sickness that his body produces blood clots. Pete has gone through extensive testing, surgery and on numerous medications. Pete is also suffering from a financial burden due to the fact that he doesn't have a diagnosed illness and most of the World Trade center programs cannot help due to the unknown disease. He has gone in front of the Departments disability board and they have denied him 2 times already. Most of the personnel have advised him that they will not authorize him for a WTC illness because they are afraid of opening up Pandora's box.
Pete is a 20 year veteran of NYPD. He is a great guy with a big heart and calming demeanor. Pete needs our help to defray mounting medical costs from this unknown disease. Please join us for a night of fun, food, and most importantly helping out our BROTHER in need.
There will be plenty of parking on E 35th St (Bet 1st & 2nd Aves). We will have it shut down with NYPD personnel to watch and assist. We will be selling tickets for the occasion, as well as selling T-shirts. Shirts are $15.00 and tickets are $20.00 each.
