Greetings from First Vice President Sean Patterson
January, 2010

Sean Patterson was able to drop us a quick message, as he begins his US Navy deployment overseas. He reports that while on a military flight, his unit had a brief stop-over "in of all places" Shannon, Ireland! With a last opportunity to enjoy a pint, Sean and his buddies found refuge in an airport watering hole. During their respite he and Pete Stasinski (Sgt. 28 Pct.) ran in to a fellow member of New York's Finest, Michael Gibbs (Sgt. 41 Pct.) who is currently on active duty with the USAF.The group spent some time talking the job, sports and all about their families at home. Much too quickly it was time to shove-off and bid farewell to the Emerald Isle. Indeed this was no time for a pub crawl, as duty called. While you read this account, Patterson and his men are taking care of business in an undisclosed hot spot far from home. Back home at the NYPD Emerald Society we are looking forward to hearing from our 1st VP real soon.
